Description

Nurses in most practice areas provide care for older adults, so it is essential that nurses entering practice be prepared to manage the complex healthcare needs they present. Elderly clients often present with an increased prevalence of chronic illness and functional decline. Nurse educators struggle to engage student interest in gerontological nursing. This webinar will identify issues pertinent to gerontological nursing and share strategies to engage student learning. Objectives Describe the nursing consideration when providing care to older adults. Discuss strategies for teaching nursing students about older adults. Identify resources to supplement course content on older adults.
