Description

With national initiatives for quality and safety in healthcare and nurse sensitive outcomes driving the nursing work force, today’s nurse is different than the nurse of a decade ago. Evidence-based practice, patient centered care, and informatics are just a few of the elements that we, as educators, need to develop in our students. This requires a teaching paradigm that is different than traditional models. During this webinar, the presenter will discuss effective methods for the lab setting that address the new nurse competencies; and share evaluation methods to identify learning beyond the skill. Objectives State three safety content elements to introduce into nursing lab settings. State three interactive models for teaching in the nursing lab setting. State three evaluation methods to be used in the nursing lab setting.
