Description

This e-learning activity will educate and enable the participant to embrace the important concepts of presence, communication, self-care, and compassion when providing evidence based care for the dying.

Objectives

Five Basic Needs of the Dying
The importance of providing comfort, airway management, control of restlessness and delirium, emotional and spiritual support, and self care will be reviewed.

Promote the importance of advocating for your patient and family

Provide a review of how the body dies to assist with reducing fears of suffering.
