Description

This brief lecture will discuss current chemotherapy precaution recommendations, risks associated with administration of chemotherapy, and best practices for reducing those risks.  The goal will be to stimulate discussion of best ways to implement those practices in the veterinary workplace.

Dr. Jeff Bryan is a native of San Francisco who is now an Associate Professor of Oncology at the University of Missouri.  He is the director of the Comparative Oncology and Epigenetics Laboratory at MU.  His research goals are improving detection and outcome of canine lymphoma, improving treatment of head and neck cancer, and developing targeting imaging and therapy agents for veterinary and human cancers.  He shares his life with his wife, five kids, 14 animal companions, and as much cycling and skiing as he can fit.
