Description

This 6-hour lecture on the gross pathology of the horsets covers many of the common (and not-so-common) diseases of this species.

Objectives

Demonstration of gross morbid anatomy and the pathogenesis of a wide range of disease in horses.
By the end of this lecture, the viewer will gain an increased understanding of the gross lesions, as well as the presenting clinical signs, pathogenetic mechanisms and pathophysiology, as well as the appropriate differential diagnosis for a wide range of diseases affecting equine species.

Dr. Bruce Williams is the Senior Pathologist at the Joint Pathology Center, with over 25 years of experience in the pathology of domestic and laboratory animal species. He has taught over 100 courses in veterinary pathology for the Foundation, to include over thirty iterations of the Foundation’s Descriptive Pathology Course. This lecture is one that he has delivered at the Descriptive Veterinary Pathology Course over the years.
