Description

This RACE-accredited lecture covered the gross lesionsions of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract of the dog, to include the liver and pancreas.

Objectives

Demonstration of gross pathologic lesions.
The diseases of the gastrointestinal system of the dog will be presented by images of the of gross pathologic changes. Appropriate anatomic and clinical pathologic features to aid in diagnosis, as well as differential diagnoses will be presented with each entity.
Discussion of appropriate anatomic features relating to clinical disease
Appropriate anatomic and microanatomic features of the cardiovascular and hematopoietic systems of the dog will be discussed as they related to the entities featured in this lecture.
Summative examination
The student will be challenged with a test at the end of the material to reinforce and measure the learning before issuing a certificate of completion. The student should review the training module and handouts if necessary before retaking the test.

This is the first time I am taking this CVE course and the way Dr. Bruce Williams have presented this course is excellent where he has displayed excellent pictures and has explained the details and the underlying pathogenesis with differential diagnosis (wherever possible) have helped me to understand the course in an excellent way.
