Description

This 3-hour lecture on the gross morbid anatomy of the horse will take a system-by-system approach to diseases of the dog and cat. Dr. Meuten takes a unique approach to the material, stressing clinicopathologic-gross pathologic correlations to give a comprehensive review of diseases of the dog and cat which is appropriate for pathologists and practitioners alike.

Objectives

Demonstration of gross pathologic lesions.
The diseases of the dog and cat will be demonstrated by images of the of gross pathologic changes. Appropriate anatomic and clinical pathologic features to aid in diagnosis, as well as differential diagnoses, will be presented with each entity. Clinicopathologic features of most entities will be discussed in detail.

Dr. Don Meuten is a professor of pathology at the School of Medicine, North Carolina State University. He is boarded in both clinical and anatomic pathology. He is the editor of the 3rd and 4th editions of Moulton’s Tumors of Veterinary Pathology, as well as numerous articles and book chapters on the pathology of domestic animals. He is a Past President of the American College of Veterinary Pathology and has spoken at over 50 international conferences on the diseases of companion animals.
