Description

In this Designer Case Study, Lori and her team will take you through the design concept stages to completion of the award winning Royal Star & Garter Homes in Surbiton, UK.

Lori will explain the client’s background, the approach to the project, the specific needs of the care home residents and the design innovations undertaken when designing a home for those with dementia.

Objectives

The objectives of this e-learning are;
To provide an insight into the design features for a care home catering for residents with dementia or who are wheelchair bound
To demonstrate the use of relevant referencing for residents transferring from an older building
To demonstrate how individual limitations can be catered for within a care home facility
