I have worked (mostly part time) in General Practice from 1989 till 2016, but have always had a strong interest in musculoskeletal medicine and worked in the Spinal and Musculoskeletal Clinics Ipswich Hospital as well as in the independant sector for most of my career. I have been Education Secretary for the British Institute of Musculoskeletal Medicine and produced modules in Chronic Pain and Spinal Examination and been involved in teaching many doctors and other health professionals. I have been examiner for the Diploma of Musculoskeletal Medicine. I am particularly interested in teaching good practice and team working in musculoskeletal medicine, especially in Primary and Intermediate Care.
