Description

Infectious retinal diseases are rare yet devastating ocular conditions as a result of underlying systemic infection. This course will touch upon the systemic etiology of these conditions as well their effect on the retina. As the conditions share similarities, distinguishing factors will be introduced. Diagnosis, treatment, and management options will also be discussed.

Raman Bhakhri, OD
on behalf of Marshall B. Ketchum University Southern California College of Optometry

Raman Bhakhri, O.D., earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Chemistry from the University of Alberta. He then received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. Following graduation, Dr. Bhakhri completed a residency in low vision and ocular disease at the Illinois College of Optometry and the Chicago Lighthouse. Currently, Dr. Bhakhri is an assistant professor in low vision and ocular disease at SCCO. He is also a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry.
