Blunt head trauma with subsequent traumatic brain injury (TBI) is relatively common in small animal practice. A rational approach to the management of these patients is essential to prioritise not just life but also the all-important brain cells! This presentation is an overview of a rational approach to traumatic brain injury and is accompanied by comprehensive course notes that go into more detail and depth.
