In 2010 The World Continuing Education Alliance (WCEA) founder Graham Hellier MBE commissioned research into the needs and requirements of professionals worldwide with regards to their professional development and license renewal.
Findings showed an increase in the requirements for this, but no global response to the changes.
As a result, the WCEA began building the first truly global network of continuing education platforms designed specifically for associations, organizations and individual learners across multiple industries and countries.
Since launching this global network, the WCEA has formed agreements with professional bodies around the world to supply their members with CE platforms. These include the World Medical Association (WMA), the International Council of Nurses (ICN), the World Veterinary Association (WVA) and the World Council of Optometry (WCO).
One of the founding visions behind the WCEA was to help make high quality education more accessible to professionals in developing nations. This is why we ask educators who charge for their courses to share them with these nations for free, helping to bridge the gap between high and low resource countries.
We are constantly seeking out the best content and engaging with the top educators to continue to build upon our ever-growing library of online courses.
